The scenario-based relationship personality test
Hard to Love Test is a free, browser-based relationship quiz built around one question: how much work is it, honestly, to be your partner? The 24-question test uses specific, real-life relationship scenarios — never abstract self-rating statements — and returns a percentage score, a six-dimension breakdown, and one of six Hard-to-Love types: The Fortress, The Ghost, The Critic, The Firestorm, The Tester, and The Lone Wolf.
Every question is a concrete situation — the "we need to talk" text, the apology quietly filed away as ammunition — and every answer carries hidden weights toward your overall score, one of six relationship dimensions, and one or more types. The full methodology is on the How It Works page. Scoring runs entirely in your browser: no account, no email, and your answers are never uploaded.
No. The dimensions are modeled on real relationship friction patterns, but this is an entertainment and self-reflection tool, not a clinical instrument. It is not a diagnosis and not a substitute for professional advice. If relationships feel genuinely hard right now, a licensed therapist beats any online quiz — including ours.
Hard to Love Test is an independent project built and maintained by a small indie team. The test, the six types, and all written content are original work. The site is free and available in eight languages, with questions rewritten — not machine-translated — for each language's dating culture.
